Eventually we had to trash it. And we bought a Oceanic and haven't had leaks. My husband was so mad. He resealed it 3 times, b4 I had the bright idea of putting freshwater in the back and salt water in the front. It came out fresh. We'd have to rip off the plastic that was attached to the back wall completely voiding it's purpose of separating the tank from the overflow. So stressful, sorry.

I cleaned as best i could using many razor blades. But where the salt creep was difficult to remove i used vegetable oil with salt as an abrasive to remove it and it worked great . (it also works great on cast iron and teflon pans). The salt will not scratch and acts like sand paper, then i cleaned with denatured alcohol before i caulked . Make sure to push firmly into the corners and if u tape the corners with painters masking tape u will get very clean corners. (remove tape immediately after caulking).

This means that the leak may not be at the bottom of the tank, that is just where it is pooling and drying. Check higher since there was no leak when the tank was not FULL.
