In any reef aquarium, 10% monthly water changes should be sufficient. There is really no need to change water more frequently just because there is no skimmer or the tank is smaller. If you would like to see the evidence of this, come visit me anytime or take the opportunity to visit our home on the Reef Tour. We are just one of 4 other homes in the Murray area. You can see a lot of tanks in a short amount of time in Murray on the 9th. That's the Saturday after next.Smile

A good rule of thumb would be 10 percent per week. Some of you mentioned frequent water changes in the place of a skimmer. How frequent and how much? Yeah? I'm very interested. I looked at another DIY, and it was roughly $75 cheaper, it seems like the one that Nano Tuners sells is a pretty good deal considering the awesome driver and reef keeper support.
