I used a heaver pump than the original, but that is good to know, I will get my amp meter out and check the amp draw.<br><br><br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.utahreefs.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=249">Bryguy514</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 22178<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> December&nbsp;01&nbsp;2007 at 9:06pm<br /><br /><P>By modifying the needlewheel you can overdrive the pump.&nbsp; If its rubbing against the walls of the pump or the modified wheel is to heavy I guess.&nbsp; But there has been a discussion about this on RC.&nbsp; They advise doing no mods to your skimmer unless you have a Kilo watt meter and a air meter.&nbsp; I read somewhere that someone modded the needlwheel and there pump was drawing 25w more then it was rated for.</P>]]>
