From the look of the rocks, someone is using an actinic light. Looks awesome!

Remind me to take an actinic light next time I do a night dive!

Thanks for sharing! It's quite an impressive video.

For those of you who missed Adam's great lecture on fluorescence, this is what happens when you shine a blue light on corals. If you were to turn all the lights off in your house and tank, then use nothing but a strong blue light, this is about what you'd see...minus a yellow filter.

I'll leave lighting science to them...they obviously have it down:

The company offers scuba masks with filters and flashlights (torches for you divers out there.) Mask inserts are only $20-30...I think I know what I'm asking for for Christmas!!

Sorry...got excited...now I'm dying to go diving again with some new gear...

Here's an article from 1999 on photographing fluorescent corals. It's kinda outdated (discusses film), but it's interesting nonetheless.

And...wow...the ultimate resource on the topic...where to buy, what to buy, how to make, videos, you name it...on fluorescence.

I love watching my tank after the light goes out and the blue light is on.... I can't not justify it with pictures but in real life it looks awesome!
