Just thought I would post a pic of my 24g nano-cube. It's doing really well. I think I figured out what happened on my 34g all in one I didn't use a lot of live rock as I wanted a minalmalist look to it. Ok a couple updates... Installed two ecoxotic panorama pro modules to replace stock lighting Today we installed a DIY skimmer similar to this http://www.reef2reef.com/forums/do-yourself-diy/74022-anyone-see-cheap-do-yourself-protien.html" rel="nofollow - Link I will get some new pics up Also I had added a blackcap jawfish just before I went on vacation last week but when I came home he was nowhere to be seen! However today upon adding he skimmer in the back chamber I heard a splashing and found him in the back chambers, I really have no idea how he got there but he will be a pain to get out! I also picked up a coral beauty(thanks Tanner) and a gorgeous tiger tail seahorse from Reefrunners yesterday. Updates... Sold most of the fish as I decided to keep seahorses and tiny fish. So I have two female h. Comes seahorses and my mandarin goby right now is all. I added a harlequin shrimp last night, they are soooo cool! And my rasta zoa frag arrived in excellent shape today. I do about 2.5gal water change every week. I was using red sea pro salt buy I just ran out so I just bought what was cheapest at the LFS I will have to see what brand it is. With adding the seahorses I may bump the water changes to twice a week or to at least 5gal a week. I dose using the mixes I made from the bulk reef supply powders. Normally though with the water changes I only have to dose Alk and mag, however with the new salt I had to dose all three the other day. I like to keep my Cal at 450 or so and the new salt put it at 400. However it put the Alk at 9 which is about where I like it and mag at 1140 which I like to run at about 1200 at least. ------------- Jackie Stuver "wait these aren't the happy Hawaiians oompa doompa godly heaven on your face zoas? Weekly tank update... Got a couple new fish *yellowhead jawfish *Chalk bass *neon goby (however haven't seen it since day one) Also got a cool orange gorgonian and some macro algaes, oh and a really cool blasto. | I really like jawfish but I haven't ever been able to keep one because I don't have a deep sand bed. :/ And I really like blastos, those are really pretty. That is kind of how mine were when I got them but they have grown like crazy. Yours will probably do awesome like your acans. |
