Hosts:
  • Other then cleaning your glass stop doing anything with your tank, you don't want to tinker with it and have a disaster
  • Turn your lights on earlier in the morning, that way your coral and fish are "awake"
  • Signage is good, the easier it is to find you and which house yours is helps everyone.  Balloons or even a sign on the door is very helpful
  • Entirely optional but treats are a lot of fun for your guests
  • Still time to advertise, invite your neighbors, share on social media
  • Have some fun!

Tour Goers:
  • Print a copy of the tour book or have it already on your computer/phone
  • Carpool - save gas and talk reefing
  • Snacks/Drinks - it's a long day of driving and who has time to stop and eat
  • Don't be afraid to ask questions, if you are new to the hobby or experienced I guarantee you will learn something from each tank.
  • Make sure to get a picture of the host for our contest and thank them for hosting!
  • Bring a cooler with you and stop by an LFS or two, you will see these awesome tanks and be itching to get something for yours
  • Have fun!
Past tour hosts and participants, post tips you have learned!

Don't add anything to your tank for probably two weeks ahead of time lol.

Don't touch your skimmer.

Don't be disappointed, you may get very few visitors.

Take photos, take notes.

Don't frag during the tour.

Lock up your dogs.

Have something to entertain kids.
Come to a meeting, they’re fun!
