Image uploading has been greatly improved in the new version of the message board.
 
You can now upload images up to 15MB in size.  Large images will automatically be re-size in order to make the image size smaller.  This should eliminate the need for you to re-size your pictures before uploading them to the message board.  Along with this update I have add a progress bar to the image upload feature so you can see the upload progress (especially useful for larger images).
