As part of the diet, I feed some NLS 3mm pellets (Thera A) to my 90g. The large Tomato Clown loves it and my Yellow Tang would love it, but his mouth is just too small. Hel'' go after a pellet that's settled onto the sandbed, but all he can manage to do is plug it into the sand like he's planting a seed.
I am sure the nassarius snails and horseshoe crab don't mind the hidden treasures, but I can't help but feel a little sorry for the poor guy. He's got a built-in dieting feature in that restrictor-plate of a mouth.
