hard smooth surface?
It also grows just as well on ABS and the black plastic of powerheads!
Do you think there is something about petroleum products that's good for our reefs?

I always figured the excelerated growth on the powerhead was due to the fact that it's hot.  The elevated temperature caused the algae to grow faster.  But I really don't know.  Just something I've wondered about...  So you figure it's just the fact that they're smooth surfaces?  I wonder why algae would prefer smooth surfaces?

Do you think there is something about petroleum products that's good for our reefs?

I'm considering a little exploratory drilling off the east slope of "Finch Reef"...

Mine Grows Best On The Plastic Of My Overflow...I Thought It Was Because There Was Good Water Current...Beware
