For those of you complaining about Ben he no longer works there just so you know. On the other hand though all of us know that saltwater is an at your own risk hobby there are very few stores that offer any kind of a guarantee we all agree it sucks you lost the fish but as many of us have said we have all been there it is part of the hobby. Live and learn wipe your tears and move on.

I can do that I answered a slew of questions from aquatic dreams on the phone as well and they couldn't offer a potential reason for the death. Here are the questions I remember being asked. Parameters of tank nitrate and nitrite 0, ammonia 0, ph 8, salinity 1.024. Drip acclimated for 1 hour. Tank red sea max 130 established over 8 months. Other fish, snowflake clown and watchman goby purchased from aquatic dreams. All other corals livestock alive and thriving.

I've lost fish in the past it's not like I don't understand the risk/expense of the hobby. In fact I've lost an entire tank before because one of my kids crawled on top of it and knocked it over. I don't believe I'm being Petty just informative on the policies of a local store so that others can perhaps make more informed decisions about who they pay their patronage to.

We appreciate you telling us your side, our side is Aquatic Dreams rocks! Along with all the other LFS they all have their pros and cons... and a warranty is not why I buy a fish from any store. Its because I want the fish now. If I want a warranty I would order from liveaquaria

Talk with Ryan, he has said its not the retail side that keeps him in business. A few places have shut down retail side and only do maintence since thats where the money is. I am thankful we do have so many LFS here

Thanks for your opinion. I shop there a lot and I also hit the other stores too, but my mainstay has been Aquatic Dreams. I've never had a bad experience there. I'm sorry you have had one. Like you say we vote with our dollars and Aquatic Dreams has had several thousand of my votes. They know my name when I come in. I'm sure, unless I have an experience to convince me otherwise, they'll have thousands more of my votes.

I appreciate you sharing, but it might have come across better if you had just told your side of the story without encouraging others to boycott them.

Thanks for letting us know about your experience. Not every customer goes away happy, but as you say, we vote with the money we use to support those who support us. Aquatic Dreams has been very good to me and they have been VERY generous to the club that runs this forum.

I can tell you this what you said is an exaggeration of what was said and no they won't replace your fish there is no warranty but they did offer something and becuze you can't have a free fish to replace the one that died in YOUR care you have to rant and rave and post things that wasn't said but its how you took them
