So i have had a medium sized conch in my 72g reef for months and he was doing great. Yesterday when i looked at the tank his shell is turned upside down in a very un-natural position and he isnt inside of it. The days proir to this he seemed just fine, he was half buried in the sand with his eye stalks staring at me like usual.
Im wondering if a hungry fish got him maybe? If i had to guess i would bring in my Melanarus, or Copperband for interrogation?
Also i would like another critter of some sort to help keep the top of my sandbed clean... Thoughts on sand sifting star, horeshoe crab, or another conch?? Needs to be reef friendly..
