I know this isnt much but I'm not much of a DIY person and I'm kind of proud i made something that works!!! Used some old things laying around the house and made this.

I took some korilla mounting hardware that use the suction cups and magnets ziptied it to some egg crate and 1/4" tubing and thats about it.

looks good. I did the same type of think using old cleaning magnets, egg crate, and gorilla glue. Yours looks better then mine do.

I did sort of the same thing only i super glued a mag float to eggcrate.

Thats like what I did, I took a mag float and super glued egg crate to it that way I can move it as needed to clean exc..

Thanks for the compliment on my tank Adam I appreciate it. Soap dishes thats a good idea too. Do you have problems with them falling off ever? I know my powerheads with suction cups would fall off every couple days.

Mine never fell off but I only had them in my tank afew weeks while I sold some frags. If i was going to keep them in there permanantly, I would use magnets. Pretty cheap way to go thou.

Try taking a razor blad to clean the glass before attaching the suction cups. It's worked for me. I think that you can have algae etc that is too thin to see, but not too thin to compromise your suction.

I just re-worked mine and made it longer but narrower. Magfloat and egg crate. It works awesome since I can easily move it when I clean the glass or when I want to introduce some new frags and lower it from the light.
