Okay, I will accept my nomination IF and ONLY IF I can be in charge of making new rules for the message board, monitoring the message board, and creating a commitee to help me monitor them. Oh, and I would want to change my name to something else so people would hate an alias, not me. You know, something like Pepper M Shrimp. That way everyone can think of me as PMS.

Amie if you get it, I will be your first volunter for the commitee to help monitor the board....( I can even take the night shift. lol)

Amie - you crack me up!
You really like the MD forum rules? If we used those, you would have to change your avatar - (non-reef related), and your posts with a single smiley would likely also be outlawed under Section 3, Rule 2.
I would appreciate it if you could add your comments about forum rules to the recommendations section. This is a great way to make sure the presidency discusses it (in secret - of course).
So - are you accepting the nomination?

I totally agree with Shane. Maybe I'll email my buddies at marine depot and offer my help to improve their forums.

Oh...I'm pretty sure you guys are discussing it already.
Yesterday my name was bolded and today it isn't. So I guess the discussions have turned.
I actually think the rules on MD's board are a little too restrictive, but it's a good place to start.

Hmmm, I thought I explained that before. Maybe there should be a vote on the ballot as to whether there should be new rules for the forum.
Edited: because the font always shows up too small. Weird.

Jake has not edited the original post since the 16th. Should be bold your name or not?

OK,
That leaves just three nominees undeclared. Can we get a decision here?

You know, I've been thinking about this. If you are eating peppermint shrimp, I wonder how much a pound you are paying for 'em.

I would like to get the ballot finalized in by the 27th. So please make sure that you make and new nominations and have have accepted or declined your nomination by the night of the 26th.
I hope to send absentee ballots out on the 27th or 28th. If you are unable to attend the meeting and are a paid member then please send me a PM and I will make sure you get a ballot.
Thanks

So who actually votes .. because both my husband and I are members, right? But do we both vote, or just one of us?

If you are paying for two memberships, I think that you should get that many votes.......maybe you can ammend that rule as well....

Yes, one ballot per membership, and one membership per family.
Otherwise you could write a check to the club for $500 and buy 20 memberships (20 votes) to elect yourself.

Wouldn't that be good for the club. Adam would just buy 20 memberships a year to make sure he was elected. Get 6 or 8 of those people and were set for the year. We wouldn't even need frag meetings to raise funds.
