i'm looking at getting sand for the new tank i'm building and of all the grades of CaribSea sand which do you guys like best?

is the Sugar-Sized Reef Sand ( 0.2 - 1.2mm ) or Oolitic Select Reef Sand ( 0.5-1.02mm ) nice? or, does is have a tendency to blow around?

does anyone have any pics of a tank w/ the black sand? i'd be curious to see what it looks like.

I like the Carib-Sea Special Grade Sea-Floor. There are a couple different varieties of this size offered in the 15 lb, like Flamingo Pink. They all are great, IMO. I use to have Aragamax and it worked well too, but I think the Sea-Floor stays whiter longer.

I am using Indo-Pacific which is a courser grade above Oolitic thats a mix of white and slightly courser black sand.  It looks pretty sharp in my 135 gallon Reef Tank.  Dont have any good clear pics with detail.  The black Tahitian Moon is really fine and has a tendency to blow around a little bit too much in my opinion.

I use a very fine sand, simular to the Utah Oolitic sand.  Mine is 0.18 to1.2mm and the particulars can be read about on www.purearagonite.com which is where I purchased mine.

I like mine slightly courser than the oolitic. I bought some from Bird World for about $1 a pound and mixed it with the Utah oolitic. I really like the look.

Cory - it blew around some for the first few days.  Since then it hasn't blown around.
