Does anybody know where I could find something that looks a little something like this?

 
 
It's some sort of a capacitor that came out of my Aqua Medic magnetic ballast, and I believe is part of the start part of the lighting sequence. Any help in finding a place that might carry something that looks like this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Maybe try Raelco in slc they have all kinds of wierd electonics stuff.

You are right. It's the Ceramic Capacitor that starts up a MH light. The one pictured is 32uf. That's a "microfarad". You could call RA-Elco, look on the web, or call me at work tomorrow afternoon. I can check to see if we have the one you want. Probably the only LFS in Utah that stocks Ceramic Capacitors because we are the authorized Aquamedic service center. It has to be ceramic to handle the heat in the spacelight.
