I just set up my new 75 and put on a turboflotor hangon skimmer.  When it's skimming, it shoots out nothing but tiny bubbles everywhere.  It makes my water look cloudy.  I don't have the air open very much at all, just enough for it to produce foam in the cup.  Is there a trick to stopping all the bubbles that it's flowing back in the tank?

Perhaps I would be better at basket weaving. . . at least it would be cheaper!

Two options:
- Reduce the flow of water through the skimmer.
- Have the water flow through a filter sponge or a ball of chaetomorpha as it enters back into the tank.

Okay, that's what I was thinking, thanks Mark.

I too have the turboflotor and I just did what Mark said; put a really small ph on to feed water into the skimmer.  I also have a carbon bag at the output but I doubt that gets rid of much/any bubbles.
